I am Gaby – a UX Designer, UX Researcher, and Voice Interaction Design enthusiast, with over six years of experience conceptualizing digital products and supporting businesses in the E-commerce, Mobility, Medical, and Education industries.

​I am obsessed with understanding people's solutions to everyday problems. My main goal is to incorporate user research, user-centered design, and usability testing to improve new and existing products to create elegant and effective solutions.

I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, where I did my bachelor's studies in Industrial Design. In 2012, during an exchange program in Germany, I got immersed in the "New World '' of Interaction Design, where I got the opportunity to exchange perspectives with people from different backgrounds and nationalities.

Returning from Germany, I finished my Bachelor's Degree from the Tecnológico de Costa Rica and focused on communication and interaction design. I have more than six years of experience working in multiple industries, from design agencies, e-commerce, mobility, e-learning, and medical health platforms. Simultaneously, I collaborated with stakeholders, developers, designers, and project managers to build user-centered designs for websites, mobile apps, and alternative applications.

In 2021, I achieved a milestone by graduating with a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Siegen in Germany. My research during this period centered around voice input interfaces, involving in-depth studies with Amazon Alexa.

Currently, I am working as a Research Fellow Associate at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. In this role, I am dedicated to exploring and researching innovative design ideas and improving user experiences within the dynamic area of consumer informatics.
